Wellness Wednesday: My Fitness Pal

Wednesday, January 14, 2015

I have a confession....I'm overweight!  No, I'm really overweight. But the good thing about it is that I can-and finally-going to get to the bottom of this thing called being "overweight."

To help me get on track I downloaded the fitness app....My Fitness Pal. There is where I will log in my diary my daily food intake (breakfast, lunch, dinner and snacks), my daily exercise for each day and track my progress along the way. It will even send me a reminder if I haven't logged my lunch or breakfast! How cool is that? All-in-all this app can keep you on track if you have a habit like me of losing focus from time-to-time. Also, with this app they have a community board where I can connect with others who are on the same lifestyle path for added motivation. The community is a great resource within the app. My Fitness Pal app is a one stop fitness tool right at my finger tips!

Are you currently on a lifestyle change yourself?

Oh...one last thing, if you are currently using this app or will be in the near future, please follow me on there and lets motivate each other. If you know of someone I should follow, please leave their name in the comments below. My username is: naturalshug

  1. I'm overweight, too, Bobbie. Last I checked I was about 198 pounds (I'm 5'6"). I've been working out 3-4 times a week and trying super hard to be more conscious about what I eat, what time I eat, and how much I eat. It has not been easy because I really enjoy food, and most of the food I enjoy is not healthy. I used to be on MyFitnessPal but I deleted my account a couple years ago because I wasn't using it. I might get back on it...

  2. Congratulations on your commitment to a lifestyle change. I am also trying to adopt healthy habits like exercising several times a week but it is hard to change habits. I sit most of the day so I am trying to stand more frequently and do little movements at my desk. Looking forward to a review of MyFitnessPal once you've had some time to try it out. Good luck! ~Kizzy
