Reality TV: Blood, Sweat and Heels

Sunday, January 5, 2014

Are y’all ready for another Reality TV show?

The time is finally here for Reality TV’s newest show “Blood Sweat and Heels.”

From Bravo: Blood, Sweat and Heels steps up Bravo’s style and sass beginning Sunday, January 5th at 9/8c with a group of up-and-coming movers and shakers in New York's elite circles of real estate, fashion, and media. The all-female cast includes former "video vixen" turned realtor Melyssa Ford, real estate partner Brie Bythewood, modeling agency owner Mica Hughes, affordable-style expert Daisy Lewellyn, A Belle in Brooklyn blogger and author Demetria Lucas, and style and pop culture journalist Geneva S. Thomas. From Harlem to Brooklyn, life in the big city often resembles a small town when the women cross paths in their personal and professional lives. The self-starters built their reputations and successes without the help of a man, but they never underestimate the power of a girlfriend’s support. These independent ladies are aggressive in their pursuit of personal and career goals, but will the cost of success prove too steep as they climb their way to the top?

I am excited to see this show because I love NYC and I’m excited to see what these women are going to be all about.

One of the ladies I am really excited to see is Demetria Lucas aka A Belle in Brooklyn. I met Demetria Lucas at her book signing for her first book “A Belle in Brooklyn: A Go-to girl for advice on living your best single life” when she was in Atlanta in 2011. Demetria Lucas is also the creator of her award winning blog www.abelleinbrooklyn.com

Overall, I like everything about Demetria Lucas…she is just one cool chick. But I hope her integrity is not challenged while on her new reality show. I will be tuning in to see most definitely

You can check out Blood, Sweat and Heels tonight at 9p on Bravo

Blood, Sweat and Heels will air on Sundays at 9p

Be there or be square.

  1. If this is going to be another reality show where black women back stab, call each other names or make themselves look like savages, then NOPE, I won't be watching. I stopped watching those types of shows because I couldn't take anymore negative depictions of black women. Hopefully, this one won't be like the others.

    1. Crisa, hopefully not....but I will see how the show goes down the line. One of the characters (Demetria) I don't think she would have signed on for that foolishness with her building her brand all and all, but you never know

  2. Unfortunately, I think it will be just like that ^^

  3. I was a bit disappointed with content of this show. At first I wasn't at al excited about it and then I heard great things about Demetria and her blog. I tuned in and was disappointed to see another reality show of women being catty toward one another. I will watch one more time or maybe I'll wait until Bravo does a typical marathon and let it play while I do something else to see if anything grabs me! LOL

  5. Hi, I've been watching but I'm still on the fence. They have their own brand of messiness. Maybe that's a requirement for reality tv!
