Breast Cancer Awareness Month- My Mammogram

Guess who had their mammogram last Friday?! Me!!!  I know you are probably thinking…”aren’t you kind of young to have a mammogram?” Yes, lol… well, actually no I am not, but I started having mammograms early because my mother was diagnosed with Breast Cancer-and passed away from it in 2000.
So, my appointment was for 4:45p and as I was driving it seemed as if I was never going to get to the women’s facility where my mammogram took place, I was a ball of nerves as I was driving, but once I got there my nerves got a little more at ease once I saw this picture in the change room.

My mammography tech name was Denise and she was THEE best, she said she was glad I was here and that she was also happy that I didn’t let fear take over and not come to the appointment.
My mammogram took approximately 30mins and I couldn’t find a better way to spend a half-hour of discomfort
After my exam, I entered my name into the drawing for Breast Cancer Awareness Basket

If you know someone who is scared to have their mammogram, please encourage them. You may just save a life.
